i have a project with a friend, (wich i have to keep secret for now), and i need you :
it would be so great if the non-french speakers among you could tell me their favorite french word/expression, if you know any :)

sacre bleu! Also, my favourite word to say (just because it feels nice to say) from my one year of high school french was "poisson"!

My friends and I used to say "mon dieu!" all the time because our French teacher used to say it a lot.
ha, I'm not sure I spelled it right, though.
well, I really like "c'est bonne" because it always makes me giigle. Also, "le bit du bacon", although that's probably Quebec french.
I use "oui" constantly, so it's my favourite word to use in that sense. But the expression I like the most is "je t'aime". Cheesy? Me? Nooo way.
"incroyable" - that's something to use in almost any situation...

I think the word "Merci" is so cute, it sounds so sweet and it's a big word too.

"coup de foudre" is wreally nice I think , it means , falling in love on first sight.
"je ne sais pas" it sounds so dismissive and chic. i imagine a terribly trendy french woman with a cigarette in one hand saying it as she flicks her other hand away
I know someone who loves the word 'poubelle'. He loves the word because it sounds elegant, not because of the beautiful meaning haha. I don't have a favourite French expression or word, I love the whole language...
i like in french "le chat qui sourit" because "souris" is a mouse and cats like it very much !
and you can draw it easy....
i also like "c'est bonne" as well as "oh la la". Although anything spoken in French sounds lovely.

I most confess I say "Merde" a lot... but if I had to chose, I would rather go with "Je t'aime". Doesn't sound better in any other language, I think.
my favourite one: "je suis desolée"
mine is "trompe l'oeil" crazy how good it sounds and the subtle meaning it has - i cant think of anything better! i love it! x
en même temps c'est plutôt difficile de répondre à cette question quand on est français... pas vraiment étonnant, mais j'aime beaucoup le mot brouhaha et les mots en "ette" couette, piplette...
i'm not one who speaks french but i do love the word "amour" probably because of its meaning.

I had a joke going on with a French girl I shared house with in Australia last year. Everytime she spoke with her boyfriend I picked up the word "truc" which I found out means "thing". She told me that she uses the word a lot as a substitute for other words in a sentence - we do the same in Danish sometimes. I like it better in French though - "truc" sounds cool.
Even though pommes frites is a great word too! ;D
I don`t speak french, but I`m in love with the way it sounds... So I can`t choose just one word, sorry :)
